Maverick Chicago DJ-producer Felix Stallings, perhaps best known for his electro-edged output as Felix Da Housecat, will drop a new album at the end of 2014 under another of his many aliases, Aphrohead.
Stallings debuted as the house-minded Aphrohead in 1993 with a number of punchy EPs including Thee Light, In Thee Garden and Vintage To Aphrohead. An album, Thee Industry Made Me Do It!, arrived the following year, and then, over the next eight years, four more – 10 (1997), Aphrohead (1999), Crybaby (2001) and Thee Underground Made Me Do It (2002). Beyond this, Stallings focused on touring and releasing as Da Housecat –the massive success of his 2001 album under the pseudonym, Kittenz And Thee Glitz, kept his attention away from anything else.
