Irish deep housers Fish Go Deep will release a second studio album later this month.
Draw The Line, a follow-up to 2004’s favourably received debut Lil’Hand, promises a rich mix of trademark deep 4-4 and slower, more soulful groove. Guest collaborators include singers Mary Cigarettes and Tracey K (the latter, frontwoman for Fish Go Deep’s huge 2007 hit The Cure & The Cause).
Fish Go Deep protagonists Greg Dowling and Shane Johnson have been DJing since the late 1980s, best known for their cult night Sweat at Cork club Sir Henry’s (which closed nearly 10 years ago). In recent years, studio work has taken over – Fish Go Deep releasing a number of EPs, as well as a label goDeep Recordings.
The new album is released on goDeep on June 29.
