Jamie Jones and Lee Foss are to launch a new record label called Hot Waves.

The pair already run two other labels which have been producing super-hot releases over the past year, Hot Natured and Hot Creations.

So far Hot Natured releases re-edit tracks, while Hot Creations focuses on original material, leaving Hot Waves to focus on releases from other artists and one-offs.

“It’s gonna be, in a sense, a digital label, but each Hot Waves compilation is gonna have a sampler of the best tracks – or the 3 tracks that we want to showcase,” Lee Foss told Data Transmission.

“So it could be like 8, 9, 10-song digital compilations, some of new artists, some of our tracks…songs that we think fit with the aesthetic that aren’t coming out on Hot Creations and that aren’t edits for the edit label.

“So for example if a new producer reached us with a song and we think, ‘hey this is pretty good’, but it’s not an EP, we don’t have an EP for it, he doesn’t have an EP for us – it’s a strong candidate for Hot Waves.”
