Finally, it’s the turn of Franky Rizardo to give us a little insight into the tracks on his mix for Defected In The House Miami ’12. Expect big beats, afro-drums and tribal flavours in abundance!

Chez Damier - Can U Feel It (Steve Bug ReDub) + Mike Dun & DJ Spen - Gotta Have House (Acapella)
Amazing rework by Steve Bug; he captured the best of the original and made it sound fresh for 2012, without losing the oldschool vibe. It's a great way to start the mix with a little nostalgia, especially with Mike Dunn's accapella asking you to remember the first time you heard house music!

Tuccillo - Sexophonista
This track has been one of my favourite warm-up tracks for the last months; it's a very effective groove which really grows on you the more you hear it. I don't usually play a lot of house track's featuring a saxophone, but this one hits the spot.

Huxley - Take No More
Huxley is a great producer and has been releasing some amazing stuff. I got introduced to Huxley through his remix of Sasse ‘Perc’, which I played in every set. I started following Huxley on Beatport and 'Take No More' turned up. It's a super effective groove and I really dig the vocal.

Vaggio – Don’t You Want Some More
At first I wasn't so sure about this track, I already knew the vocal snippet that's being used and the groove didn't quite catch me at first. I still decided to test it out and I’ve been playing it ever since. Some tracks just need to be played out in the clubs before you understand the intention of the producer.

Franky Rizardo & Skitzofrenix - Patulego
I always have a great time when I’m in the studio with Skitzofrenix. We never think about what we're going to make, we just try lots of different stuff and improvise along the way. I think that the fun we had in the studio can be heard in the track. Patulego is one of my most requested tracks when I’m DJing and the second break is a real crowd pleaser. It's also a good transition from the groovy house tracks to the Latin tracks that follow in this mix.

Born To Funk - La Scoica
I was introduced to this track during a Defected in the House event in club AIR Amsterdam. Copyright played this groove and I stepped up to the booth to ask them what it was.  It works really well, without putting too much pressure on the audience. It's a very important track because it gives some rest to my set without losing the crowd. The groove locks you in and doesn't let go. My compliments to the Copyright Recordings label, they keep releasing quality stuff!

Franky Rizardo - Caracoles (DJ Chus Remix)
This remix would have never been made if it wasn't for Twitter! Someone on Twitter suggested that DJ Chus to remix Caracoles. DJ Chus sent me a message shortly after and said he already loved the track and thought it was a great idea. I sent him the parts and 3 weeks later I received this great remix. I think DJ Chus did a great job; he captured what worked in the original and added more flow and bounce.

Leroy Styles, Bryan Dalton & G.Volante - Munster
Leroy Styles has a steady supply of drum-focused productions, and I love this new collaboration with Bryan Dalton and G. Volante.

The 2 Bears - Work (Franky Rizardo Remix)
When I received the request and the original track, the part that really stood out for me were the vocals. This is why I decided to use only these in my remix. I tried several approaches, but this combo between a basshook and matching drums fits best.  My favourite part is the break, when suddenly a synth is introduced, followed by the bass coming back in with the synth. It's been a big track in my sets and I think it's suitable to play while warming up as well as peak-time.

Franky Rizardo - Eu Vo Tu Baile
I started this track on the plane to Miami when I was fiddling around with some baile funk samples. When I got back, I started working on my EP for Copyright Recordings and suddenly remembered what I made on the plane. I exported everything to my studio and finished the track the same day. I think it's a typical track for me to make, as I love having drum hooks after the break.

Osunlade - Envision (Chocolate Puma Remix)
Osunlade's album Pyrography was an instant-buy for me. My favourite track of the album is Envision, which also turned out to be my No.1 track of the Ibiza Season. Because many people are familiar with the track, I'm happy that Chocolate Puma made such an awesome remix. Chocolate Puma spices it up with hard-hitting drums and big bass.

Nouveau Yorican - Nueva (John Roman Remix)
This remix really fits my sound and has been a dancefloor killer. The tracks by John Roman somehow always find their way to my playlists, especially triplet grooves like 'Sala'.

Franky Rizardo - Real Love
When I produced this track, I was experimenting with merging different genres and sounds. I was inspired by the bassline driven style I heard in DC10 in Ibiza. Combining this with my percussion and a slower BPM resulted in this refreshing combination. Scheduled for release on the 14th of March on Defected!

Intruder (A MURK production) - Amame
What can still be said about this track? Amame has classic written all over it. The chorus really gets into your head and its tracks like these that show that we need more amazing vocals in house music!

Franky Rizardo ft. Divine Essence - Time (Full Vocal Mix)
‘Time’ is one of my personal favourites. I first started out with a demo only featuring the chord stabs, but felt this track needed more. I then decided to make an epic break with big violin chords to really take this track to another level. I envisioned this track being played on a beach, where people get into the groove and when the breaks hit, close their eyes, feel the sun and the sand and getting goosebumps. The track features a stellar performance by Divine Essence, and makes it a great conclusion to the mix.
