Defected Malta unveils its latest additions to this year’s epic island takeover!

House heavyweights Riva Starr, Groove Armada, Fat Tony, Danny Howard and Dunmore Brothers will return to this year’s unmissable affair, soundtracking the festival’s unrivalled atmosphere and views of the sun-soaked Mediterranean coast.

Making their debut this October will be Soweto-born rising star Atmos Blaq, alongside Culoe De Song, Jellybean Benitez, Manu Gonzale and Nic Fanculli.

We are thrilled to return to St. Pauls Bay to deliver a weekend of day and night parties, with stages from your favourites including Glitterbox, Classic Music Co., The Remedy Project, Faith and Moxy Muzik.

Hosted against the backdrop of crystal clear waters, the festival (taking place Friday 6th – 8th October) will welcome our usual offering of world-class artists from across the dance music spectrum.

The 2023 edition follows the festivals epic debut last year, which was described by DJ Mag as a sparkling success’. With these new additions, the line-up is now complete and we are all set to take over the Island for another weekend of house excellence.

Among the 50+ artists making their mark on the Island this year will be Carl Craig, Dan Shake, Kitty Amor, Prunk, Darius Syrossian, Girls of the Internet, Ferreck Dawn as well as first-time appearances from scene favourites Dennis Ferrer, Benji B, Hannah Wants, Adam Port, Olive F, SG Lewis, Jamz Supernova, DJ Minx, Bushwacka and Rotterdam’s rising star Suze Ijo.

Hosted across the Island’s most in-demand hotspots, this year will see us return to St. Paul’s Bay as we take over the town’s luxe beach club Café del Mar, historic masterpiece Fort St Elmo, and the impressive multi-room venue, UNO, celebrated for providing the ultimate club experience with its open-air dancefloors.

Offering unrivalled views of the Island, DJs will set sail to soundtrack the weekend’s schedule of boat parties in addition to surprise stage takeovers hosted by some house music’s greats.

“I am delighted to be returning to Malta for the second edition of our festival. Last year exceeded all expectations, and we very much look forward to returning with new stages and a diverse line-up of incredible talent.” Wez Saunders, CEO
