Chicago’s punky, funky, ever in-demand house legend Green Velvet (AKA Curtis ‘Cajmere’ Jones) flies in to Bristol mid-month for a headline slot at BLOC’s In:Motion party, a precursor to next spring’s fifth annual BLOC Weekender – the cult indie-electronic fest synonymous with Butlins’s Minehead resort in Somerset.
Velvet promises plenty of warped house grooves, as well as techno, dubstep and electro material. He is to be joined by Dirtybird and Mothership’s Claude VonStroke, Caravan label boss October and Mr Junior Boy’s Own, Andrew Weatherall; not to mention bass-heavy movers Appleblim and Al Tourettes.
