Madchester stalwarts the Happy Mondays will headline the Sunday night at this year's Camp Bestival.

Shaun Ryder and his cronies will join a raft of just-announced talent for the weekender at Lulworth Castle in Dorset.

Said Bestival boss Rob Da Bank: “I'm amazed this band are coming to Camp Bestival. The Happy Mondays are one of those iconic British outfits that perfectly capture all that's best about our musical make up... indie, dance, rave, pop and Shaun Ryder’s lyrical wit.

“I grew up dancing like a rubbish Bez to the Mondays and fully intend to indulge in some creaky freaky dancing some the Sunday night of Camp B... Hope you'll join me.”

They'll be joined by Mr Scruff, The 2 Bears, DJ Derek, Maya Jane Coles and Gemini, along with previously announced talent including Hot Chip, Kool and the Gang, Chic with Nile Rodgers, Earth Wind and Fire, the Dub Pistols, Greg Wilson, LTJ Bukem, Zed Bias, Justin Robertson and Japanese Popstars.

There's also stacks of stuff for kids (Dick & Dom, Mr Tumble), spoken word and readings (Howard Marks and Henry Rollins) and all manner of other family-friendly business.

It takes place from July 26 to 29.
