After two incredible performances at Glitterbox over the summer, Hercules & Love Affair are currently in the middle of a US tour which precedes two upcoming European dates: firstly at the Defected showcase at AIR, Amsterdam 16 October and secondly at London’s Oval Space 13 November.

Accompanying Hercules & Love Affair on the US tour is singer, choreographer and cultural creative Richard Kennedy. Touring with the group for the first time, over the coming week or so, Richard will be writing a tour diary excluisvely for Defected.

Hercules & Love Affair Tour Diary

Today is Day eight of the Hercules & Love Affair Feast of the Broken Heart Tour.  After three days of rehearsals in Dallas we have played shows in Dallas, Denver, San Fran Cisco, and LA!  Tonight we play San Diego and though we are all exhausted from the tour schedule; we just finished sound check and we are totally gonna rock!  I have gone to sleep smiling and woke up the same knowing that we are really reaching people and inspiring people to be themselves.


Last night’s show in LA was the most exhilarating so far.  There was an insane turn out and they reached capacity before we even hit the stage!  Hooray for Hollywood!  With an audience full of Hercules super-fans the energy we felt on stage was beyond words.  People are responding so well and have been very vocal about their excitement that we are touring the United States for the first time in a few years.

I’m excited to invite you all inside the latest Hercules fantasy.  We have shows in Seattle and Vancouver the next two days then we fly to NEW YORK CITY! Only 3 sleeps till BROOKLYN!!!! The show is so fresh and VERY now and I’m so proud of it.


With so much going on in the world it is truly satisfying to be a part of a traveling show that lifts people up and makes them dance.  Through the smoke and the stage lights the pure ecstasy of the fans breaks through and makes the daily grind all worth it! As a child I knew that the stars could only get brighter; so let’s all shine and dance together when we come to your city.
