Honey Dijon transports us to the underground on 'Downtown'

Honey Dijon returns with the third single from her sophomore album Black Girl Magic ‘Downtown’, featuring Annette Bowen and Nikki-O. A blissful dedication to the dancefloor, this single follows on from initial previews of the LP ‘Not About You’ and ‘La Femme Fantastique’, as Honey once again demonstrates her versatility with this sultry house jam.

Available on special 12" yellow coloured vinyl, as well as a full digital release on 23 April, Honey’s latest delivery of pitch-perfect house also includes remixes from Master At Work Louie Vega. Continuing to be a magnet for vocal talent, London soul vocalist Annette Bowen and Moodymann collaborator Nikki-O provide a stunning top-line that purls over Honey’s flawless production, as fluttering synths and crisp percussion transport the listener to necessary nights on the dancefloor.

The digital pacakage also features the otherworldly grooves of Louie’s Frisco Disco Dance and his club-ready Raw Dub Mix, shimmering with modern house excellence and glints of dancefloor classics gone by. On the vinyl, we find Louie's 90Mood Mix, with deep, swelling pads and expressive keys that form a fitting ode to the 90s sound conceived by Louie and his contemporaries, as well as his Downtown Disco Dub Mix that closes out the package, a glossy club cut brimming with atmospheric synths and swirls of vocal, crafted to divine effect.
