Items & Things co-founder Marc Houle will release new album Cola Party this summer.
The long-player is Houle’s sixth, promising a further, fizzing splice of the genres most closely associated with him – techno and funky minimal. Like last album Undercover, which debuted in 2012, Cola Party is to be released on Item & Things. Houle’s four previous album outings – Restore (2004), Bay Of Figs (2006), Sixty-Four (2008) and Drift (2010) – all appeared on Richie Hawtin’s M_nus imprint, the label the Berlin-based Canadian left alongside Magda and Troy Pierce to set-up Items & Things in 2011.
