Madrid’s finest takes his place among the house elite with a collection of 20 of the Iberican champion’s remixes and productions, exclusively remastered and re-edited for 2012
House Masters DJ Chus brings together 20 of the renowned Spanish producers original tracks and remixes, presenting them as the first comprehensive collection of his work. The compilation features a number of exclusives, including Kevin Saunderson feat. Inner City - Future (DJ Chus In Stereo Mix), Reboot – Enjoy Music (DJ Chus 2012 Re-Edit) and Glamsta feat. Candela - In De Guetto 2012 (DJ Chus Club Mix), while many of his classic remixes have been re-mastered for 2012.
Chus L. Esteban aka DJ Chus started his professional career at the end of the 80’s in his home town, amidst the full-blown euphoria of the acid-house movement at 'Alien', one of the first clubs of the famous Kapital Group. Making his name as a DJ with a decade-long residency at Madrid’s first house club, Teatro Kapital, it was during this time that Chus was introduced to Pablo Ceballos, whose techno background was hugely influential in the musical style Chus was to develop.
From this fusion of techno and house emerged the Iberican Sound concept, which evolved into a worldwide movement. The Iberican Sound is DJ Chus’ trademark; a personal vision of house music which has become synonymous with Chus and many of his contemporaries. Instantly recognisable yet constantly evolving, this percussive, rolling and hugely danceable take on house music is what puts Chus in a league of his own.
Chus is a true DJs’ producer; tirelessly creating dancefloor weapons in order for his peers to better ply their trade. He has been championing underground house for the entirety of his long and acclaimed career, and it is this devotion to the 4/4 beat that this collections aims to celebrate.
