A track as good as Human Life's 'In It Together' deserves a remix package of the very highest order...and that's exactly what we've got for you.

First up is the trademark warmth and soul of Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper with their Director's Cut Togetherness; a reimagining that manages to sound both classic and current, and is a foregone conclusion as 'sunset' track of the year.

"We didn't take any special approach other than keeping true to who and what we are musically" said Frankie of the remix. "Mr Kupper and myself have a long history of music and production that we share. There's a quality of musicality that's been missing for a long time. We're just trying to remain true to what 'Director's Cut' is all about.

"The reaction for me has been nothing short of incredible everywhere. From Athens, Greece to Athens, Georgia and many points in between everyone has been raving over the tune. Truly amazing!"

Then
The Shapeshifters drop a driving, main room anthem that never strays too far from the vibe of the original, but beefs up the lows and sharpens the highs for an uplifting tech-house belter.

"The main thing that grabbed us was the unique male top line coupled with the 80’s synth and bass lines and a surprisingly cool old school chord progression" said The Shapeshifters' Simon Marlin. "It reminded us of the Australian band Empire of Sun whom we very much love. It’s always nice to hear something new and refreshing on a creative level.

"For the remix, we wanted to keep the main key and chord progression that we liked so much and once that was in place we added the groove and the vocals. When you’re working on a song that you love so much, things tend to move on quite fast and naturally."

Finally, Louie Fresco aims somewhere between Art Department and Jamie Jones with his dark, deep house bubbler, scoring a sure-fire hit for those who prefer their house a little more twisted.

"When the vocal track sounds as good as this one you just have to start playing with it" said Louie of working on the track. "I added a delicate auto-tune and filtered the vox track through a VST, chopped it up a bit, etc. I wanted this remix to be bass driven, and I also wanted the bass line to have some bounce to it. There's also a part where I had to add a 'break' drum beat since I'm a big hip hop fan. I was trying to achieve a somewhat dark but bouncey remix.

"The reaction has been really amazing. I played it for the first time last weekend and it went down really well. I've also heard Mark Knight drop it on his Toolroom Records radio show, which I was suprised by really happy about."
