Dance pioneers Inner City will play a brand new festival in London this September.
Ceremony, from the promoters’ team behind FOUND (the FOUNDseries and FOUND Festival), is set to take place 13 September at Finsbury Park across half-a-dozen stages dedicated to all sounds within the underground house spectrum. There is a keen focus on US house pros, including ‘Little’ Louie Vega, Chez Damier, Lil Louis, DJ Sneak, Todd Terry, Roy Davis Jr, Kevin Saunderson and, of course, Saunderson’s inimitable Inner City (live).
However, the likes of Flashmob, Nick Curly, Chasing Kurt, Krankbrother, Fur Coat, DJ W!ld and Culprit founders Droog have also confirmed, so too ‘urban’ UK artists such as Grant Nelson, DJ Luck & MC Neat, Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont and Tropical (a conglomerate of Skepta, JME, Preditah, Logan Sama and Plastician). Ceremony’s ‘secret sixth’ stage has no line-up details at present; organisers promise a wave of new names across their entire piece in the coming weeks.
