Peruvian tech-houser Jay Haze is readying the release of new album Love=Evolution, reportedly his last when it appears next month.
Haze, whose dissatisfaction with the club industry has been well documented in recent months, will supposedly follow the launch of Love=Evolution by closing down his two cult labels Tuning Spork and Contexterrior. Moving forwards he is expected to release sporadically through small independent set-ups, and to play a limited number of international events.
Haze’s new album weaves reggae, dubstep and experimental electronica into his trademark tech-house blueprint, as well as featuring a raft of prominent collaborators – not least Ricardo Villalobos, San Francisco chanteuse Chela Simone and dub legend Paul St Hilaire.
Love=Evolution is released via Contexterrior in February, date to be announced.
