Jeff Mills is to soundtrack a silent movie at the annual Amsterdam Dance Event.
The Detroit techno originator will mix his live soundtrack to the 1928 silent film Die Frau im Mond – The Woman in the Moon.
The 'cine-mix' will find Mills corralling four turntables alongside the film's visuals at the EYE Film Institute in Amsterdam as part of the Dutch dance music conference.
It's not the first time he's fused his futuristic sounds with cinema, already blending aural accompaniments to The Fantastic Voyage and 2087.
His first foray into such soundtracking came in 2000, when he scored Fritz Lang's classic Metropolis.
