Techno legend Jeff Mills has announced details of his next long-player, a brand new score for Sixties sci-fi film Fantastic Voyage.
The record, due out next month, follows his work around another Sixties sci-fi film classic Cyborg: 2087 – corresponding album 2087 was released this summer.
For Fantastic Voyage, Mills promises a soundtrack “as unorthodox as Outer Space”, his usual musical theme, but also one driven by organic groove; the film it is tied to, of course, involves Cold War espionage within the human body….
Mills’ Axis imprint releases Fantastic Voyage in October, on a date yet to be announced.
