With its light guitar riffs, bubbling synths and an anthemic yet summery vocal; ‘Edge Of Desire’ has been heard all around the globe. After reaching No. 1 on the Beatport chart in August 2025, Jonas Blue's first ever Beatport No. 1, the track remains in the top 10 over a month later.

A perfect fit for the 2025 festival season and beyond, ‘Edge Of Desire’ is on its way to becoming a defining Defected staple. Andy Daniell, Defected’s Director of Music, championed the release from the off:

“Before there was ‘Jonas Blue’ there was Guy Robin, an awesome, talented producer from Essex. He caught the attention of Soulfuric Records heads before releasing with Defected - we put out some great records with him. His production and talent for song writing was already incredibly evident. Then came ‘Fast Car’ under his Jonas Blue alias; I was just buzzing to see a real talent fly and have this incredible career.

 We’d always kept in touch as friends, even if musically we were doing different things, and we’d always be sharing music, comparing notes about world and keeping across what each other were doing. Fast-forward a few years on and he sent over an early version of ‘Edge Of Desire’ - I just fell in love with it.

 The guitar lick, the vocals, just the whole vibe. We linked up at Miami Music Week and worked on the tune to make it feel timeless - not trying to fit any trend but just to exist as a great piece of music, which is what this should all be about.

It was awesome to see people already resonating with the record ahead of its release, now it feels like the intention of the record is truly being felt by listeners. You can’t ask for much more than that.
