Layo & Bushwacka! are to split, the pair have confirmed.
The DJ and producer pairing, better known as Layo Paskin and Matthew Benjamin, have signed off with their final album, Rising & Falling.
“We are drawing a curtain on it now,” said Layo. “There will be a handful of gigs together in 2013 only and that will be it for us. We maintained so much through passion and key work, four albums, maybe 50+ singles, remixes, compilations for XL and Global Underground and The End.
“I believe deeply in the quality of music from 1998 to 2013 and that is what kept us relevant. Though I think that has come to a natural conclusion.”
The pair were pivotal at legendary London club The End, which Paskin part owned, worried the charts with tracks like Love Story and remixed the likes of Orbital, Depeche Mode and Paul Oakenfold.
