London party and dance retail kingfish Stuart Patterson, James Manero, Zafa ‘The Mighty Zaf’ Chowdhry and Jake Holloway have joined forces to open a brand new record store in east London next month.

Love Vinyl, opening for business on 14 June, promises a unique mix of new house and techno vinyl and rare, used and collectable 12s. The store’s ‘new’ and ‘vintage’ counters will also stock disco re-edits and re-issues, not to mention reggae, funk, soul and jazz.

Patterson is a supremely well established DJ, producer, promoter and label owner – he co-ran London’s acclaimed Faith and Soulsonic parties, as well as running imprint Transfusion (which recently relaunched). Manero is behind one of the capital’s current top shindigs Another Party (regular guests include Kerri Chandler and Sven Vath) and Kingland Road members’ club Manero’s. The Mighty Zaf is best known for co-managing iconic Soho record store Reckless Records throughout the Nineties and Noughties; today, he operates online music marketplace www.zafsmusic.com. That leaves Holloway, DJ, radio presenter and former owner of Walthamstow’s cult Village Vinyl emporium.

Love Vinyl’s official website www.love-vinyl.net will launch shortly; in the meantime head to www.facebook.com/lovevinyllondon for updates and opening plans. The store’s full address is 5 Pearson Street, London, E2 8JD.
