A vibrant performer and classically trained musician whose uplifting nature translates into joyous electronic productions, LP Giobbi takes on Todd’s ‘Restless Soul’, giving it a deep house spin with Todd’s signature sample bursting through.
Canadian icon and one half of Duck Sauce A-Trak remixes Todd’s spiritual classic ‘When Your Alone’, giving the record a frenetic twist as we have come to expect from the eccentric talent.
‘Perfect Love’ and its frenetic sampling receives a modern club twist from high-profile producer Biscits, before modern UKG legend and one third of t q d DJ Q delivers a love letter remix to the man who started it all with ‘Never Far From You’.
Todd Edwards – House Masters Remixes: The Story So Far
In summer of 2023, remixes of Todd Edwards’ UKG staple ‘Shut The Door’ burst onto the scene, the first official remixes since Todd joined the illustrious list of Defected House Masters. With remixes from Mas Tiempo legends Skepta & Jammer alongside salute, Lucas Alexander and Reiss Ruben, the ‘Shut The Door’ package was the first of many fruitful remixes.
Before long, Defected announced Todd Edwards – House Masters Remixes, Pt. 1 for a September release.
The original ‘Defected Presents House Masters: Todd Edwards’ compilation from 2021 showcased Todd’s approach to sonic experimentation in its full glory. His entirely fresh sound, born from chopped up samples and vocal clips, birthed a new genre while giving the American-born producer major underground credibility in the UK and the rest of Europe.
Ever since those pioneering releases in the 90s, Todd has cemented himself as one of the fathers of UK garage at every turn, continuing to inspire artists to this day and earning mad respect from producers creating UKG, bassline, grime, techno and house.

The first part of Todd Edwards - House Masters Remixes featured two remixes from revered underground selectors, Seb Zito and Royal-T; artists whose own musical outputs were inspired by Todd. Available to stream and download here.

Seb Zito took Todd’s 1997 classic, ‘Push The Love’, and upped the ante considerably, adding hefty club weight and ensuring the record will live on forever in underground circles. Next up, t q d founder Royal-T gave ‘The Dream’ a bass-heavy spin that served as a love letter to Todd’s heady original.

Todd Edwards - House Masters Remixes, Pt. 2
The second part in November 2023 saw even more leading house and garage legends step up to remix Todd’s iconic tracks including Shermanology, Low Steppa, Bklava and MPH. Available to stream and download here.
Dutch duo Shermanology and their frequent collaborator Conquer Jones opened up this set of remixes, bringing their hearty mix of UKG, Caribbean and soul influences to ‘Show Me A Sign’.
Following that, the highly influential Simma Black label boss Low Steppa remixed the legendary ‘God Will Be There’, before ‘Dancing For Heaven’ received a bouncy, upbeat remix from South-London genre-defier Bklava.
Closing out this stacked release, young garage talent MPH brought an atmospheric feel to ‘Thank You’, complete with a hard-hitting beat that came down in full force.
Today, part three of this incredible collection is revealed to the world, containing remixes from LP Giobbi, A-Trak, Biscits and DJ Q. With so many artists from all corners of the electronic music scene inspired by Todd Edwards’ legacy, you can be sure to expect even more remixes in the near future...
