Techno visionary Luke Slater is releasing his next long-player, The Messenger, as alter-ego Planetary Assault Systems.

The alias is one of many Slater ‘faces’ including 7th Plain, Translucent and Deputy Dawg, but perhaps the most prominent. It first appeared on Peacefrog in the early Nineties before releasing via Slater’s own Moto-Evolver label and now Berghain-backed imprint Ostgut Ton.

Ostgut Ton is releasing The Messenger after its success with 2009 Planetary album Temporary Suspension, and the tone remains the same: driving, full-bodied techno.

A launch party is scheduled at Berghain in Berlin for October 29, featuring Planetary Assault Systems live alongside James Ruskin, Shifted and Norman Nodge. It follows the album release on October 24.
