Epic four-to-the-floor beatsmith Marco Bailey will drop his latest studio album, Dragon Man, next month.

Released through John Digweed’s ever consistent Bedrock label, Dragon Man is expected to showcase a multitude of sounds over two discs – one mixed, one not. There are 10 new tracks alongside two previous hits, Watergate and Jungle Laps.

Bailey, of course, has progressed from strident trance-out to big room techno over the past decade or so, but his new album takes things even further. Tracks such as Zephyr and Bom Bang! offer funkier finesse, whilst Bill The Trumpet Player wields live, melodic sax (yes, sax…) and Red Cell dabbles with experimental, down-beat electronica.

Digweed comments ahead of release: “Marco is one of those rare breed of producers whose sound crosses over from techno to house and everything in between. The reactions to his tracks from the dancefloor speak for themselves and his energetic techno infused sound always provides the best peak time club tracks. I jumped at the chance to release an album from Marco on Bedrock because I wanted to showcase not only these exclusive club tracks, but also his more experimental sounds.”

Dragon Man is released February 7 on Bedrock.
