Electronic experimentalist Matthew Herbert is to release a new album under his Wishmountain guise.

But as ever, all is not what it seems with the sampling visionary.

Called Tesco, the album has been assembled from sounds found on different racks in the high street supermarket. The sounds were then be processed and made into music over four days, though not perhaps quite as experimentally as some of his other more recent projects.

“After all the questioning, controversy, head scratching, mud, straw and blood of the One Pig record, I felt like making some old-fashioned dance music,” he said.

The One Pig album, saw Herbert draw sounds from the first 20 weeks of a pig's life before it reaches the slaughter house.

It drops on his own Accidental imprint on August 6.
