Fast-rising Twentysomething Maya Jane Coles has been picked to front !K7’s next DJ-Kicks mix album, due out this spring.

The project represents Coles’ first ever commercial mix, but focuses on bass music as well as her more familiar twisted house roots. Coles includes her own exclusive house lick Not Listening alongside 4-4 contributions from Berghain’s Marcel Dettmann, Russian favourite Tripmastaz and deep tech-ster Sigward; but there is also room for an exclusive via her two-step alias Nocturnal Sunshine (Meant To Be) and for bass-led, more rhythmically-varied attacks via Zenker Brothers and London’s T. Williams.

Coles, 24, climbed into the Top 10 of Resident Advisor’s Top 100 DJs poll last year, and, to date, has released remixes and productions on labels such as Real Tone, Defected, 2020, Crosstown Rebels and Mobilee.

Maya Jane Coles’ DJ-Kicks is released in April on !K7 Records.
