Harry Agius, aka Midland, was recently crowned the Essential Mix of the Year Winner for 2016, beating off competition from Âme X Dixon, Leon Vynehall, Recondite and Dusky. The mix spanned both generations and genres, with tracks from Radiohead, Frankie Valli, Jon Hopkins and Jai Paul. However, the standout moments came from Midland himself, most notably with the infectious 'Final Credits', which has been snapped up by Classic and is set for a digital release in February.
Mixmag's #1 track of 2016 is showing no signs of slowing, with Marcel Dettmann rocking it in Berghain this week and full support from across the board on BBC Radio 1.
