Ministry Of Sound has confirmed a series of birthday parties next month to commemorate its landmark 20th anniversary.
The parties will run back-to-back over the weekend of September 16-18, all under the banner ‘Twenty Years. Two Decades. Three Generations Of House Music.’ Friday night’s ‘The Gallery Presents…’ party promises Danny Rampling and X-Press 2; Saturday Sessions take on the September 17 event with help from Dennis Ferrer, Matthias Tanzmann and Nic Fanciulli; the Sunday wrap-up will feature super-soulful CJ Mackintosh (a former Ministry regular), Frankie Knuckles and David Morales.
Aside from all that, Ministry is set to release a special Live & Remastered box set on September 19, featuring five vintage, live recorded sets from the venue by Morales, Todd Terry, Kenny Carpenter, Paradise Garage legend Larry Levan and Ministry resident and co-founder Justin Berkmann. All recordings have been studiously re-mastered; all tracks officially licensed, many for the first time.
