April 13th marks the launch of a new series of nine monthly underground parties featuring a single headline DJ performing all night long. Hosted by Mixmag and London based promoters What Matters, in a variety of venues no bigger than 500 capacity, the 501 series has all the ingredients for what promises to be a succession of intimate and memorable nights for dance music aficionados.
Featuring some of the biggest names on the underground dance music circuit, each of whom will play a exclusive marathon 6- 8 hour set in one of London’s most unusual clubbing locations, the new venture aims to set a new standard in terms of providing the perfect environment for some serious all night dancing.
The first event - also the official pre party for Italy’s brand new Vertigo festival in August - will take place at one of West London’s most innovative venues, Westbourne Studios. And taking the 501 crowd on their first 6 hour journey across the house and techno landscape is Spanish producer Uner; one of the most highly regarded artists in the house and tech house scene with releases on esteemed labels including Cadenza, Get Physical, 2020, Ceille and Visionquest.
