During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world, the aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Since its humble beginnings in Melbourne, Australia Movember has grown to become a truly global movement, and in 2011 over 854,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas around the world got on board, raising an impressive £79.3 million.
Last year Defected Records contributed £8,000 to this total, but this year we are even more heavily involved in the fundraising drive.
We’re encouraging all of the extended Defected community to join the Defected Handlebar Hustlers and get sponsored to grow their own Mo. We’ll be competing against other record labels and organisations to raise the most money, so visit the team page now to get involved.
