Movement Torino, the Euro equivalent to Detroit’s illustrious electronic music fest of the same name, has finally announced details for this year’s programme taking place October 28-31.
Now in its fifth year, Movement Torino 2010 will welcome sets from Sven Vath, 2 Many DJs and The Chemical Brothers, not to mention Detroit talents such as Kyle Hall and Patrice Scott, across a number of venues in the Italian City. Motor City Drum Ensemble and Dixon will headline a special closing party at the PalaOlimpico Park on October 31.
Event organisers, one of whom includes Derrick May, will also release an anniversary triple-CD comp on October 31. Released through Movement Sound Recordings, the package offers mixed (by Torino DJ I-Robots) and unmixed tracks closely associated with the festival; material by everyone from Loco Dice and Dennis Ferrer to Moodyman and Chez Damier.
