Movement Torino has finally confirmed details for its second ever compilation – following hot on the heels of the Detroit spin-off festival (October 27-31) as was the case last year.
Movement Torino has been running since 2006 and gaining more and more momentum; so much so that this year’s gathering includes stellar appearances from Carl Craig, Derrick May, Art Department and John Digweed. The introduction of an accompanying compilation last year was so popular that organisers decided to bring it back.
As in 2010, local DJ I-Robots is curator, offering 21 un-mixed tracks over two discs – tracks reflecting Movement Torino’s agenda this year – before mixing everything together on a bonus third CD. Contributors include Motor City Drum Ensemble, Kyle Hall, Soulwax, Steffi and the Innversions crew (featuring Derrick Carter).
The Movement Torino Music Festival – 2011 Edition album will be released by Movement Sound Recordings on November 30.
