More details have been announced for the sixth instalment of Movement Torino, a European sister event to Detroit’s mighty May electronic music festival which traditionally takes place around Hallowe’en.
Movement Torino 2012, running October 27-31, will see Underworld headline with a special live show. Other major names include Lil Louis, Green Velvet, Derrick May, Carl Craig, the entire Visionquest crew, John Digweed, Steffi, Cassy, Guy Gerber and goth-house sensations Art Department. There are further appearances from Kyle Hall, Space Dimension Controller, Circo Loco’s DJ W!ld, Tania Vulcano and Davide Squillace, Stacey Pullen and Laurent Garnier.
The festival, which also includes daytime lectures, workshops, forums and business networking platforms, takes place at various venues around the Italian city. For the second year running, it is to be accompanied by a compilation CD release featuring music from the festival ‘repertoire’ and a special mix by local DJ I-Robots.
