New York house legend Timmy Regisford has announced that he will be releasing a new artist album, In The Club, early next year.

At 14 tracks, the album promises a rich, stirring mix of soulful house, deep gospel dance and peppy afrobeat; guests include singing royalty Kenny Bobien and Arnold Jarvis, not to mention afro-beat don Femi Kuti. Other heavyweight singers include Jaidene Veda and Lynn Lockamy.

Timmy Regisford has been in the business for over 30 years now – as well as A&R-ing for MCA, Atlantic and Motown, and dropping remixes of early 80s output by Bobby Womack, Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder, he previously hosted iconic Big Apple night Club Shelter, and has released a number of quality remixes and productions on Shelter-associated labels 157 Shelter, Restricted Access and Un-Restricted Access, not to mention imprints King Street and West End.

Regisford co-produced Peven Everett’s Beyond The Universe album earlier in the year; he has also launched a new afterhours NYC club night Areacode, at which he is resident DJ.

In The Club arrives January 10, 2011 on Tribe Records.
