Chic French duo Discodeine – Cedric Marszewski and Benjamin Morando – will release their new album later this month.

Swimmer follows the boys’ eponymous debut long-player in 2011 and promises a vibrant fusion of everything from future-disco to retro-tinged jack-house.  There is, however, less focus on guests vocals this time round, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker the only collaborator - on lead single Avdin.  Discodeine has also described the new record as darker than their debut.

Discodeine opened their discographic account in 2008 with EP Joystick on Dark & Lovely, a label they continued to release for via a spate of 2008-2010 singles including Tom Select and Extension.  Notably, the pair also released DFA track Synchronize featuring Jarvis Cocker, whilst Marszewski has built a solo profile as disco edit maestro Pilooski.

Swimmer, like Discodeine’s debut album, will be released on French label Pschent. The album is available to purchase from November 25.
