Nicolas Jaar and Brooklyn guitarist Dave Harrington are set to release their first collaborative album as Darkside next month.
The album, Psychic, follows the duo’s 2011 Darkside EP, which was released on Jaar’s former label Clown & Sunset, as well as a ‘Daftside’ remix of the entire Daft Punk album Random Access Memories. If the 11-minute You Tube preview is anything to go by, listeners can expect a deep, explorative fusion of atmospheric electronica and acoustics.
Jaar made his first announcement about the project via Twitter, before following that with the aforementioned Tube preview. Psychic is released via his new label Other People (in partnership with Matador) on October 8.
