Simian Mobile Disco dons James Ford and Jas Shaw will release a new studio album, their third, later this spring.
Unpatterns, following Attack Decay Sustain Release in 2007 and Temporary Pleasure in 2009, focuses on instrumentals and vocal samples, and promises a greater reliance on house as opposed to electro. Supposed influences include bass kings Blawan and Lone, as well as acid-house pioneers Phuture.
Unpatterns drops on Wichita Recordings on May 14.
