The Shapeshifters are bringing the Nocturnal Groove Experience to Serbia and Slovenia with two massive events this March.
First up on Friday 18th of March, The Shapeshifters will be joined by Nocturnal Groove regular Pookie at Tube, Belgrade, making a long-awaited return to a club they have not visited to nearly two years.
"It's a real House club in every sense." says The Shapeshifters' Simon Marlin of Tube. "It holds around 800 people and has an amazing Martin audio system, stylish but raw surroundings, great visuals and best of all an educated and very up for it crowd.
"We have been to Belgrade many times since we first played back in 2004 at Summer Basement for Pookie." he continues. "It was the beginning of our love affair with the region and we have been lucky enough to make a lot of good friends there. Belgrade obviously has suffered over the years like a lot of other places in the region but it is an amazing city and the people are some of the warmest you will ever wish to meet."
The party then moves on to Ambasada Gavioli in Izola, Slovenia for the Nocturnal Gathering which boasts a blistering line-up of Harry ‘Choo Choo' Romero, Sandy Rivera, Danism, Pookie, Roy Mclaren, local artist Mike Vale (1605) and of course The Shapeshifters themselves.
"Nocturnal was our residency in London for eigth years at The The End/AKA" explains Marlin. "Since its closure a couple of years ago we have missed it so we felt it time to take it up a notch. We aim to export the unique clubland principles of the night, inviting a selection of the freshest new talent from the Nocturnal Groove roster to lay down their individual sounds alongside the world's house music elite. Essentially, these nights will showcase the Nocturnal ethos and bring together all those who have collectively contributed so much to the famous Nocturnal vibe. Things kick off in March with a serious bang and we look to continue throwing House rich parties for as long as possible."
