Cultish Bristol house label NRK Music will wind down in May with a final compilation release covering its best bits over the 15 highly successful years that it’s been running.
Unsurprisingly, Forever Underground: Artifacts (1997 – 2012) sprawls three discs – one mixed by label boss Nick Harris. NRK classics by everyone from Francois K and Terra Diva to Kerri Chandler, Paul Woolford and Akabu are on board; the album is released on May 7.
No official word has been given on why NRK Music is winding down but Harris has promised to maintain mix series The Lab (Seth Troxler fronted the last instalment in 2011; a new one is due this summer); and operate via other labels and projects.
