The Yoruba Master presents his first mix compilation in years and headlines the Ministry of Sound on April 21st

"As a man that is doing what I do as a passion and as a creative blessing I want to leave something that matters to me and not just do something that is expected." Osunlade

As an all-round artist who truly lives and breathes for the various works he creates, Osunlade is almost without equal. Under various guises as a producer he has crafted some of the most enduring and evocative records ever made and as a conceptual artist and photographer, he has brought his unique vision to life.

Osunlade In The House is the culmination of a life spent in and around music. In it, he draws on a lifelong obsession with melody, song and groove, creating a deeply personal two-disc mix that touches on the many influences that have made him the revered DJ he is today.

From the deep, soulful sounds with which he made his name to tougher, groove-led house, Osunlade In The House is a truly engaging listen from start to finish, with tracks and remixes from Christian Prommer, Rafael Moraes, Orisa, Donnie, Tucillo and of course Osunlade himself laying the foundations.

There’s also a stunning record from Afefe Iku to be found in ‘The Blues’, which is exclusive to this compilation.

The last few months have been exceptional for Osunlade with the release of Pyrography and Envision, one of the biggest tracks from Ibiza which will soon be re-released with remixes from Chocolate Puma, Argy and Tuccillo. In addition, he also published a book that documented five years of the Burning Man festival in a series of stunning photographs (www.blurb.com/books/2555582). This mix continues the musical legacy of one of the scene’s most fascinating individuals.

Osunlade In The House is representative of Defected’s commitment to presenting quality house music in all its various forms. With a tracklist and tone dedicated to the underground, this mix will suit lifelong fans and newcomers to Osunlade’s inimitable craft alike.

Osunlade will also be playing alongside Dimitri from Paris and Noir for Defected In The House at Ministry of Sound on 21st April.

Osunlade In The House is out 16th April
