Hessle head Pangaea, AKA Kevin McAuley, has compiled the latest fabriclive mix, edition number 73, due out early next year.
Pangaea’s 27-track, techno-led selection offers plenty of trademark darkness and bottom-end. Opening with Pangaea exclusive Recreational Slumming, the mix quickly slides into punchy contributions from Shifted, Lee Gamble, Speedy J, Pev & Kowton and Psyk. “A lot has changed musically in the past few years” McAuley comments, “and having felt adrift at times it now feels like all my musical experiences have led naturally to this place.”
McAuley heads Hessle Audio alongside Ben UFO and Pearson Sound (the latter also appearing on fabriclive 73), and has built a firm dancefloor reputation via singles including Hex, Inna Daze/Won’t Hurt and, this year, Viaduct. fabriclive 73 is another big step forwards.
fabriclive 73 is released by Fabric Records on January 20, 2014, with a launch party to follow in February – details TBA.
