Following the success of Pete Tong’s collaboration with S.Y.F (of Azari & III fame) and the deeper, complimentary remix from Leeds hottest new star, Hot Since 82, it’s now the turn of Blond:ish and Pete’s Radio 1 cohorts Jaymo & Andy George to take over the remix duties for the second instalment of ‘Dawn’.
Blond:ish’s offering showcases their technical flair and multi-dimensional approach with carefully textured layers of quivering synths, a provocative bassline and resonating vocals; an ironically dark musical reimagining of daybreak that delves into distinctly deeper territories.
Meanwhile, the innovative minds behind Moda Black strip the original right back, slowing things down to an 80s electro beat inspired groove. Combining teasing minor keys, warped vocals and haunting synths, this is truly a dark mutation of its original.
