Dance stalwart Pete Tong will release an epic three-disc compilation album covering three decades of dancefloor history next month.
The Pete Tong Collection works its way through early electronic classics by New Order (Blue Monday), Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley (Jack Your Body) and 808 State (Pacific State) to more recent anthems from Stardust (Music Sounds Better With You), The Chemical Brothers (Hey Boy Hey Girl) and Disclosure (Latch, featuring Sam Smith), via the contributions of Wink, Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez, Todd Terry, Orbital and Basement Jaxx.
“I have worked on many albums during my career, however I’m proud to say this is the most definitive and personal to date” Tong explains. “From the old-school pioneers to the equally innovative stars of the present day; this is my brief history of the incredible movement called house.”
The Pete Tong Collection is released through Sony Music on November 4.
