The 20th anniversary plans for Carl Craig’s venerable Planet E label (first posted last week) have gone into overdrive, with the further announcement this week of a world tour (Planet E’s first ever) and commemorative release schedule.

Craig will release digital compilation 20 F@#&ing Years – We Ain’t Dead Yet on February 22; a comprehensive journey through classic label highlights from the likes of Paperclip People, Moodyman, Innerzone Orchestra and Martin Buttrich.

This will be followed by single re-releases from the Planet E vault – each release will be chosen by a scene luminary (Richie Hawtin, Francois K, Dennis Ferrer and Kevin Saunderson are already in the frame) and given their own new remix twist alongside it. Luciano is in line for the first track (and remix) – Recloose’s Can’t Take It.

As for the world tour – the original announced Ewer Street Car Park party in London (March 5) is now part of a global sweep of birthday dates, starting January 27 during Montreal’s Igloofest 2011 and ending March 26 in Ireland. Further UK dates are lined up on March 19 (Circus, Liverpool) and March 25 (The Arches, Glasgow.)
