Cult Panorama Bar resident Prosumer has confirmed that his set there this Saturday, June 23, will mark the end of a long-term Berghain residency more than cementing his status on the global club scene.
Prosumer confirmed the news via his Facebook page earlier this week: “All good things come to an end, they say. So does my residency at panorama bar [sic]. Please join me for my last set there this coming Sunday [sic].” No further information was given.
Prosumer, AKA Achim Brandenburg, has become synonymous with Panorama Bar over the past few years, offering up a rich and distinct mix of deep, soulful dance infused with the old school spirit of Detroit, Chicago and New York. There is no suggestion he won’t play the venue again but for now we have only his ‘leaving’ party which, coinciding with gay pride event Christopher Street Day, will also feature DJ Harvey, Tensnake, Objekt and Aril Brikha; not to mention fellow residents Tama Sumo, Fiedel and Steffi.
Saturday night’s main Klubnacht party will be followed by further festivities on Sunday afternoon in Berghain’s garden.
