With a series of exciting projects on the horizon, 2014 is shaping up to be Sam Divine's biggest year to date. Today we announce Sam as the new host of the Defected In The House Radio Show alongside a forthcoming Deep Down & Defected mix album and this summer she takes up a multi date residency at Defected In The House in Ibiza.
Sam Divine is one of the most loved and in-demand house DJs on the international circuit today. From bedroom DJ to one-to-watch rising star to renowned Ibiza resident to the show-stealing artist she is today, Sam has been a best kept secret who’s risen through the ranks and, in the process, played a key role in Defected’s success. With a devotion to house music that few can match and a decade of DJ experience behind her, Sam has without doubt earned her reputation as a genuine people’s champion.
Sam Divine is a rare thing on the contemporary scene; a DJ who has achieved acclaim solely through the strength of her DJing ability. Rather than produce records with which to make her name, Sam instead has focussed on honing her craft behind the decks, so that she now stands almost alone in achieving a devoted fanbase through the respect she commands from behind the decks.
From 31 March , Sam officially takes over from Copyright as host of the Defected In The House Radio Show – the definitive house music show on the airwaves. Syndicated to more than 40 countries – as well as being available on iTunes and Soundcloud – her new role as host will see Sam bringing the best house music to millions of listeners around the world every week.
April will also see the release of Deep, Down & Defected Vol.5 – mixed by Sam Divine. This will be the first time Sam has helmed a mix album since 2009’s Clubland Adventures, and will allow her to explore the deeper house sounds with which she has made her name over the past few years.
Finally, this summer will see Sam play a key part in Defected’s recently announced residency at BoOom! Ibiza, with multiple dates confirmed throughout the season including the Opening Party on May 20. A veteran of the Ibiza scene, Sam is primed to harness her years of experience with her summer residency, making BoOom! Ibiza the only place to catch real house music this season.
With further details about all of the above to be released over the coming weeks, 2014 looks set to be one hell of a year for Sam Divine.
