Veteran house, techno and breakbeat producer Marvin ‘Dylan Rhymes’ Beaver and Paul ‘Spacedust’ Glancy have joined forces to launch Sample Station, an online, royalty free sample store which will feature some of the most cutting-edge samples from the best producers and engineers around.
The site will feature a wide variety of sample packs which promises to cater for the entire electronic music spectrum from dubstep and d ‘n’ b through to techno, electro and house music in all its myriad forms.
A number of high profile artists have already been lined up to produce packs for the site while a free 185mb pack is currently free to all subscribers.
The site will also be a resource for producers with exclusive Q&As, video tutorials and production features and workshops covering all manner of production issues with main room mainstays like Mark Knight, Felix da Housecat and Timo Maas alongside newcomers like Netsky and Alex Metric and pioneers like Joel Mull and Richard X all set to feature.
"We've been producing for a long time and I know how important quality, variety and accessibility is when it comes to samples,” says Marvin. “I want Sample Station to be a dynamic resource for producers of all experience levels, a place that can provide those little flashes of inspiration that can make or break a track."
