Sankeys’ Ibizan arm will welcome legendary night Tribal Sessions to the island for the first time this summer.
The party, intrinsically linked to the rise of Sankeys Manchester throughout the Noughties, opens its 20-week debut Ibiza residency on 21 May with special guest Danny Tenaglia.
Subsequent highlights include Mario Basanov (4 June), Kink and Matthew Dear (11 June), DJ Sneak and Todd Terry (25 June), Aphrohead (AKA Felix Da Housecat, 9 July), Victor Calderone (6 August), Michael Mayer (13 August), Joey Beltram (20 August), Derrick May, Jeff Mills and Mr G (10 September), Francois K (24 September) and, for the closing party, Cesar Merveille, Michel Cleis and an extra special guest, as yet TBA (1 October).
Tenaglia plays a further date, 16 July, Da Housecat and Calderone return 27 August, and Sneak makes additional stops 23 July, 20 August and 2 September.
Meanwhile, Steve Lawler’s third season of VIVa Warriors at Sankeys Ibiza runs for 18 weeks, 1 June to 28 September. The opening bash boasts Nick Curly and the closing Mathew Jonson (live); in between revellers can expect to see the likes of VIVa regulars Robert Dietz, Guti and Poker Flat’s Steve Bug, not to mention newcomers Hot Since 82 (13 July, playing back-to-back with Lawler), Andrea Oliva (6 July), Hot Creations favourite Miguel Campbell (15 June, 20 July, 7 September) and revered Detroit veteran Moodymann (14 September).
