Electronic giants Simian Mobile Disco will release a live album in April.
Entitled Live, the album represents duo James Ford and Jas Shaw’s first ever live concert recording, captured in a single take during the Philadelphia leg (Voyeur, December 7, 2012) of their global tour to promote last, favourably received album Unpatterns. The boys’ set, featuring no post-production finessing, covers their entire discography, through debut long-player Attack Decay Sustain Release, follow-ups Temporary Pleasure and Delicacies (the latter a compilation of material from the edgy, techno-led Simian imprint of the same name, set up in 2010, and accompanying London-based club ‘project’ Delicatessen) and, of course, Unpatterns.
Live, stretching to 15 vintage Simian tracks including Hustler, Wooden, Cruel Intentions, Seraphim and Put Your Hands Together, is released on Delicacies on April 15.
