Genre-destroying noise-maker Skrillex has announced details of the UK leg of his first ever world Tour which hits our shores in November.
Sonny Moore aka Skrillex tends to sharply divide opinion with his ear-batteringly loud dubstep-not-dubstep productions, but there can be no disputing his meteoric rise over the last 12 months or so, making a name for himself as a sought after remixer and producer and working with the likes of Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas, Benny Benassi and La Roux.
His first independent 9 song EP release ‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites’ was released on Big Beat Records in conjunction with Deadmau5’ Mau5trap label, and dominated the charts last year on Beatport with the title track claiming the sites No.1 slot (the first time a dubstep track has ever done so) and 8 of the songs breaking into the Top 10.
Having garnered a huge fanbase around the world, Skrillex will be performing at some of this year’s biggest festivals including Creamfields UK on August Bank Holiday Weekend and Global Gathering on Saturday 30th July. The UK tour kicks off on 16th November and includes London, Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield, Bristol and Nottingham.
