Slip N Slide was created in London the early 90s as a platform for the very best of the new wave of US House music that was sweeping in from across the Atlantic at the time. It was soon amongst the trend setters in house music, on par with Strictly Rhythm, Henry Street and Nervous Records.

Founded by Kickin Music's MD Peter Harris, perhaps the label’s biggest moment to date was with De'Lacy's 'Hideaway' which was remixed to devastating effect by Washington's Deep Dish and sold over a million copies worldwide, charting in over 30 countries.

The label gained a reputation for taking chances on young hot producers with plenty of talent, and has released some of the best early tracks and remixes from now legendary producers and DJs over the years. X-Press 2, Deep Dish, Masters At Work, Kings Of Tomorrow, King Britt, Josh Wink, Peace Division, Joey Negro and of course the mighty Blaze, (who became synonymous with the label), have all helped to form the label’s sound.

Slip 'N' Slide has also played a major role in pushing the sound of jazz onto both dance floors and charts through their association with producers such as Phil Asher and Charles Dockins and the highly-rated "Jazz In The House" compilations.

Now, the label has been rejuvenated, releasing several compilations featuring many of the memorable moments from its illustrious back-catalogue. If you knew the label from back in the day, you'll already know the kind of quality to expect. If not, this is the perfect opportunity to acquaint yourself with one of the most repected house labels of all time.
