London ‘events agency’ SPL has announced a series of unique summer parties for the capital, following a successful bash promoting The Rapture’s electro-pop-house-tech-clash label Throne Of Blood.
SPL’s summer season kicks off June 10 with cult Dalston disco-tech night Slowpoke at the helm in an as yet undeclared East London venue – Till Von Sein and James Teej DJ. Slowpoke also ends the season, August 28.
In between, clubbers can expect shindigs hosted by New York house giant Dennis Ferrer (alongside 2020 Vision’s Simon Baker) on July 2; by Buzzin Fly fave Spencer Parker and Mowgli on July 22; by Innervisions’ Ame, Dixon and Henrik Schwarz on August 19 (presenting a musical soundtrack to 1920s silent horror film The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari at the iconic Roundhouse); and a decidedly retro Soul Clap, August 20 (with help from San Francisco’s Mark Farina and Doc Martin).
The second Slowpoke party, and SPL grand finale, features special performances by Slow Hands and Ben Westbeech at Stoke Newington’s The Nest.
